Chris Monroe is an author, illustrator, visual artist and cartoonist. She is a graduate of the Minneapolis College of Art And Design and lives in Duluth, MN.  She is the author illustrator of twelve picture books and one collection of comics. Her comic strip Violet Days was in print for over 22 years. She has illustrated picture books for other authors including Jane Yolen, and Kevin Kling.. Her artwork can be seen at Lizzard's Gallery in Duluth as well as in the permanent collection of the Tweed Museum.
